Eduardo Posada's roots began in Ciudad Juárez, one of the world's toughest cities, where his earliest memories were of the rich aromas of Mexican cuisine. Growing up in El Paso, Texas, he gained an appreciation for the many techniques of southern cooking and learned about the cultural significance of corn to Native Americans. He also refined his fine dining skills while working at an Italian restaurant. His dream of sharing bold, flavorful food made with quality ingredients and inspired by the heart began with a food cart that quickly gained popularity. Years later, catering requests poured in, Eduardo and his wife, Blanca knew it was time to expand. He found the perfect spot in a small Livermore Valley Wine Country strip mall, and Posada was born.
Five years ago, Eduardo and Jorge Tinoco united for the first time at a winemaker dinner at Posada Restaurant in Livermore, where they collaborated on a stunning food and wine event. In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jorge was presented with other opportunities but was lured by Eduardo's passion and unwavering commitment to his aspirations. Eduardo shared his love of rustic salsa and a bottle of premier cru Pinot noir, sparking the idea to focus more on farm-to-table cuisine. To accomplish this, they enlisted the help of Diane Dovholuk, a renowned master gardener from Sunol.
The restaurant continues to change and evolve, with a focus on bringing excitement to the kitchen, bar, and wine list. The commitment to that initial dream remains unchanging and we continue providing exceptional service with fresh and high-quality ingredients.
